      Julia Ram\u00edrez presented a poster at the\u00a0European Human Genetics Conference<\/a><\/strong><\/b>\u00a0describing new findings on rare variants modulating resting heart rate and their importance in cardiovascular risk.<\/p>\n

      In\u00a0<\/span>addition, in the first days of June, she participated in the ERAS World Congress\u00a0<\/span>2022 (<\/span>Enhanced<\/a>\u00a0Recovery After Surgery<\/a>). She was invited to give a talk describing the\u00a0<\/span>potential of artificial intelligence algorithms for predicting and reducing\u00a0<\/span>risk.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Previously, in May, \u00a0Julia Ram\u00edrez gave an oral presentation at the\u00a0European Atherosclerosis Society\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(EAS 2022<\/a>) showing the added value of genetic risk scores (GRSs) for multiple cardiovascular risk factors to a clinical score, QRISK3, and a coronary artery disease (CAD) GRS for both CAD and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) prediction. They used data from ~400,000 individuals from the UK Biobank without underlying cardiovascular disease. Her attendance was awarded with a Young Investigator Fellowship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
