ABOUT ME
Cristina López obtained her degree in Biology, specializing in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, from the University of Montpellier, France. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a year in Neuroscience at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
She pursued a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Montpellier, where she conducted two research internships: one at the Montpellier Institute of Neurosciences, studying the electrophysiology of the neuromuscular junction in Drosophila models of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis; and another at the Faculty of Medicine in Bilbao, investigating the impact of Omega-3 on brain damage caused by excessive alcohol consumption during adolescence.
She joined the BSICoS group in 2023 and began her Ph.D. in 2024, entitled “In vitro, ex vivo, and in silico analysis of ventricular remodeling in diabetic cardiomyopathy for arrhythmic risk prediction.”
