Electrocardiographic indices for myocardial ischemia diagnosis. Correlation between cellular mechanisms and manifestations on the surface electrical signal.

This project focuses on the study of acute regional ischemia produced by coronary occlusion. A multi-scale investigation of dynamic ischemic evolution is carried out, which enables characterization of ischemic effects at the level of ion channels, cell, tissue and surface electrocardiogram. Ischemia-induced changes are linked to potential risk of suffering from arrhythmic events leading to sudden cardiac death
