Sotirios Papadopoulos

Sotirios Papadopoulos (1992, Greece) joined the BSICoS group as a postdoctoral research assistant in 2026. He has a Medical Diploma (University of Thessaly of Thessaly, Greece, 2016) following which he commenced training in Neurology. He, then, held his MSc in Neuroscience at University of Crete (Greece, 2020). In 2025 he obtained his PhD in Neuroscience at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) during which he developed signal and machine learning pipelines for efficient, single-trial analysis of sensorimotor transient beta burst activity and mu oscillations in M/EEG signals for brain-computer interface applications. His research interest lie in translational neurotechnologies for improved management and rehabilitation of motor deficits caused by neurological disorders.
